Thor Hushovd (Credit Agricole)
awaits the start of stage 16. The French teams staged a protest, and started the race minutes after the rest of the peloton following news of Vinokourov's doping positive
Cadel Evans (Predictor-Lotto)
fought very hard at the final climb and was able to limit his losses. If he makes the podium will be decided in the time trial now.
Sylvain Chavanel (Cofidis)
was the former KOM leader, but has since dropped in the rankings for the polka dot.
Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank)
bites into a sandwich before the doping control. The dude in the background is hopefully making sure Rasmussen doesn't trick anybody.
Cadel Evans (Predictor-Lotto)
gets a bottle. But one wasn't enough and he should have gotten the second one as well. He lost almost two minutes on the day.
Christophe Moreau (Ag2r Prévoyance)
has shoe troubles again, but today it didn't matter to stop and sort it out. He finished over half an hour behind.
Andrey Kashechkin (Astana)
and his bandages are testimony for the Astana struggles these days. They had another spill today when a fan's flag got caught in Ivanov's wheel.
Andreas Klöden (Astana)
with the jersey unzipped and the bandages revealing he is still handicapped.
George Hincapie (Discovery Channel)
rode his heart out for the team today, caught up in the flats and put himself on the front before his job was done prior to the final climb.
Christophe Moreau (Ag2r Prévoyance)
had a day that he'd rather forget. Combined with the mishap on the flattest stage of the Tour he has lost enough time that he has no pressure to win anymore.
Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank)
defended his lead and has now a few days to increase the gap again before the final time trial a day before the Tour's end.

spectator. He left the real mountain's leader behind earlier, but could 'only' manage stage, overall and young rider's classification.
