Cyclingnews.com's 2006 readers' poll

Win a set of HED's Kermesse road wheels

Win a pair of HED wheels

Whether you're thinking about pounding along the sinewy parcours of a Belgian kermesse or simply after a versatile, tough set of wheels, look no further than HED's Kermesse.

Kermesse specialists are much like their equipment - tough, light (but not too light) and fast. So it's apt HED's latest wheels are eponomously named, for their Kermesse wheelset was designed with these characteristics in mind.

Designed by company founder Steve Hed, whose time trial wheels elevated him to rock-star status within the elite cycling community, much of the knowledge and technology Hed inspired over the past 20 years exists in the Kermesse wheelset. The wheelset features: new HED Sonic Flanged front hub (97grams); HED Sonic rear hub; 26mm welded machined rims; double butted Sapim Race spokes - 24 spoke front, 28 spoke rear (Campagnolo or Shimano); 1520 grams clincher/set and 1440 grams set/tubular.

As part of Cyclingnews' 2006 reader poll, we're giving away a pair of these wheels to one very lucky person - your choice of clincher or tubular. The winner will be notified soon after our survey closes. Good luck!

As another year of action-packed cycling draws to a close, so does the 2006 Cyclingnews reader poll. The team at Cyclingnews would like to thank the 11,600 plus of you, the readers, who not only took the time to take part in the reader poll but also supported us throughout a massive 2006 season.

There will be no partying over the new-year for the Cyclingnews bean-counters, as they are now hard at work tallying up the results from this year's poll. Throughout next week Cyclingnews will be revealing the winners of each category, and, of course, the lucky reader who will be rolling out on their new HED Kermesse wheelset in 2007.
