The first British rider to top a poll this year, Bradley Wiggins shone in the individual pursuit at the worlds, taking gold, and won the Gent Six-day, paired with Matt Gilmore in a 'local' pairing.
Runner-up Marty Nothstein remains hugely popular in the US, despite having concentrated on the road this year, while Bruno Risi always gets a nod for his history in the Sixes. Interesting to see the Australian pursuit team getting fourth - we suspect it might have been more if we'd made it clear that pursuit teams were eligible.
