Shimano's ten-speed Dura-Ace swept all before it in this year's awards, a testament
both to the desirability of the new group and also to Shimano's clever marketing,
releasing a few diagrams here and a teaser there over the course of the year
before a full launch at the Tour de France.
Beyond Dura-Ace, carbon this, that and the other caught your attention and
many readers fancy a set of FSA's carbon compact cranks with 50/34 chainrings
to make steep climbs a little easier. Third place was also taken by a comfort
improvment: Fizik's Arione saddle. Who can argue with a better seat?
