• Chris Hoy (Great Britain) - during the men's team sprint.
• Michelle Ferris (Australia) - was in the thick of the action in the women's keirin.
• Rosalee Hubbard and Michelle Ferris (Australia) - took first and second in the women's keirin
• Sean Eadie (Australia) - took gold in the men's keirin
• Peter Dawson (Australia) - on his way to winning the men's 4000m individual pursuit

• Former Australian national road coach Heiko Salzwedel - is back in Australia this weekend to oversee Great Britain's effort at the second round of the 2002 UCI Track World Cup in Sydney
• Shortly after the start a touch of wheels - saw two of the Australian pursuit team crash

• Australian Ben Kersten - back after a year's sabbatical and a frustrating battle with a niggling leg injury - set a new PB for himself to score the silver medal in the Men's Kilo
• South African Garren Bloch - performed well in the Men's Kilo to take the bronze medal
• Scottish rider Chris Hoy - blasts off to victory in the Men's Kilo
• Chris Hoy - set a time just .100 off his personal best to take the gold medal in the kilo at the second round of the 2002 UCI Track World Cup in Sydney
• Arnaud Tournant waits cunningly - for the first move from Anthony Peden in the semi-final of the Men's 200m Sprint
• Arnaud Tournant psyches himself up - before his clash with Sean Eadie in the final of the Men's Sprint
• Sean Eadie - added a round of the 2002 UCI Track World Cup to his sprinter's bow with a stunning two-nil gold medal winning ride against Arnaud Tournant in the Men's Sprint Final
• Eadie showed he is in the best form of his career - pushing his esteemed 24 year old French rival Arnaud Tournant to his limit in a display of faultless tactics and incredible leg speed
• Canadian Lori-Ann Muenzer - beat Australian Michelle Ferris for the bronze two rounds to one in the Women's Sprint, but the day belonged to the Americans with Tammy Thomas and Tanya Lindenmuth taking the gold and silver
• Lori-Ann Muenzer - comfortably beats Michelle Ferris for the bronze. Ferris took the first round in 12.060 but Muenzer proved stronger in the final two
• Tammy Thomas - defeated USA team mate Tanya Lindenmuth to win the gold in the Women's Sprint Final
• With 58 to go Cathy Moncassin - was the leader in the Women's Points Race, but Hammer shot ahead and became race leader after lapping the field with 43 laps left to travel
• Sarah Ulmer lead out the final sprint - at the bell and Gilmore attacked for all she was worth, but in the end it went one-two-three to Hammer, Moncassin and Ulmer
• American first-year senior Sarah Hammer - made an impressive World Cup debut with a convincing win in the Women's Points race
• The Australian duo of Mark Renshaw and Darren Young - got off to a good start and despite being lapped, they continued to collect sprint points, finishing in second with 20 points in the Madison
• Greg Henderson was on fire in the Madison - where he and team mate Roulston lapped the entire field
• Hayden Roulston - rides comfortably at the front of the bunch in the Madison
• Kiwis Greg Henderson and Hayden Roulston - attacked 90 laps out and stayed away for a very impressive win in the Madison
• With 12 to go the Kiwis finally reeled in the tiring German duo - from that point on, the New Zealanders took their hand slings and maintained such a high tempo that no other countries even tried attacking for the final sprint until there was only one lap to go
