An unsurprising landslide victory for the dominant female mountain bike racer of 2004. Norway's Gunn Rita Dahle was world champion, Olympic champion and World Cup champion in 2004, an unprecedented sweep by an athlete who is clearly at the very top of her game.

In second place was Cyclingnews diarist Niki Gudex and third was top US racer Alison Dunlap.
