Three-man break makes running in A Grade

It was a hot and steamy morning at Mica Street, Carole Park for the third race in this series. Strong support from NRG & Logan Clubs made for some very competitive racing. Three races were held. A separate ladies races was held as well as the usual combined A/B and combined C/D.

The ladies race was a closely contested affair with Ashley Bennett winning ahead of Stacey Bennett. Phillipa Russell was third.

Combined C/D had by far the largest field with more than 20 riders. The sprint at the half way mark was won by Kriss Yunker. A breakaway was able to lap most the field. The eventual winner was Karl Yunker, second was Jarrod Denman, with third going to Berres Freshney.

Combined A/B saw Craig Taylor again forcing the pace. Craig was joined in a break away by Ed Rabin and Mark Lafferty. This group eventually lapped the field. The prime was won by Ed Rabin. The final sprint was won by Ed Rabin followed by Craig Taylor,with Mark Lafferty third.

The next race in the series will be held on Sunday 15th December.
