Day 1 - August 27: Women's 3000m Individual Pursuit

Angie Vargas (Atlanta, GA) is the new US Women's Individual Pursuit champion, beating Rebecca Conzelman (Allentown) in a close fought finale. Vargas, who trains in T-Town each summer and is coached by Lucy Tyler, has focused soley on the Individual Pursuit was happy with the win. She qualified second fastest in the morning behind Conzelman, but was able to overcome her in the final. Conzelman was happy with a silver, being first National Championships in track cycling. Conzelman will also be competing in the Women's Scratch Race on Friday and the Women's Points Race on Saturday.

The bronze medal went to defending champion Erin Mirabella (Frisco), who beat Ashley Kimmet (Serotta). Kimmet however took out the U23 title.
