Specialized S-Works Mondo road tyre

Developed to be the fastest race tyre in the world, and to be used by the current World Champion Mario Cippolini, Specialized's new race tyre uses a 127 threads per inch "Nylon 6-6" casing and 'Flak Jacket' sub-tread.

The tyre also features low rolling resistance for a 200g tyre. Specialized says the Mondo has high puncture resistance due to proprietary 'Flak Jacket' material that is built into the casing of the tire. This is said to reduce punctures by up to 60% compared to competing products while adding less than one gram of weight.
