through the countryside...at 50.0490 kilometres per hour.

took 38th spot.
Alejandro Valverde Belmonte (Caisse d'Epargne) rode to a solid
fifth position.
Belgian Tom Boonen (Quick Step) pulled out all
the stops to finish 13th.
Martin Velits (Milram) rides on past
Jeremy Hunt (Crédit Agricole).
Manuel Quinziato (Liquigas) posted a solid
third fastest time.
Sebastian Lang (Gerolsteiner) was inside the top five
after the first time check, but ended up in 10th place.

could only pull out an 11th place.
Andreas Klöden made it three Astana
riders in the top 15, with his 12th place.
Damiano Cunego (Lampre) dropped nearly four
minutes on the time trial.
All eyes were on Alberto Contador Velasco (Astana)
but he just missed out on a podium finish.

rode in 15th place.

looked smooth, but lost five minutes.

in the leader's jersey, with the rider losing nearly three minutes as he claimed 50th spot.
Davide Rebellin (Gerolsteiner)
finished 29th.
Oscar Freire Gomez (Rabobank)
finished 5.28 minutes back in 119th spot.
Russian Mikhail Ignatiev (Tinkoff Credit Systems)
had the second quickest time after the first time check, but tumbled to 16th by the finish.
Belgian Philippe Gilbert (Française des Jeux)
was one of the slowest over the course.
Alessandro Ballan (Lampre) holds 18th
on general classification.
German Erik Zabel (Team Milram) is fourth
in the points classification.

is chased by an impressive team car.

only droped 2.08 minutes.

was strong, finishing 28th on the stage.
