Results and Reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Mildura-Coomealla Cycling ClubDolfen Drive crit, Tuesday, November 11, 2003Tankard triumphs on Dolfen Drive torture circuitBy Peter Winton Firstly a correction to my earlier posting of our Spring Tour results. The three-way tie in that event was Peter Mulhearn, Mark Busch and Dion Bassi-Anstee. My sincere apologies to "Mully". I will suffer a dose of self-flagellation for that misdemeanor. Now onto the latest happenings. Last Tuesday the Club held a criterium at the very popular (not) Dolfen Drive circuit. C'mon you guys, don't you enjoy the 2 hot-dog turns on that short circuit? My back just can't wait for more agony! Big Kev Tankard smiled as he waved goodbye to Rob McNally and Mark Busch in the A grade race. In the "killer bees" it was the wily Richard Hale proving too good for Dion B right on the line. In the vitamin "C's" Rob Akkermans showed a clean pair of cleats to Kristan "BaT racing" Cerini and Billy Wass. A cameo performance from Nathan Summerhayes with his rear tyre blow-out at the start substituting for the starters gun! Yeah good on ya, more stains in the chamois. Fresh from drinking Guinness with Nathan Welsh after the Club's Winter Series presentation dinner the former president thought seriously about life as a couch potato (and a sick one at that!) but was roused into cycling action by Phillippe Robbins, looking for an early season win.
