As the weather threatened Wednesday night 40 keen racers turned up to battle it out in this fun new format. With almost as many spectators as racers the atmosphere was buzzing and with great prizes on offer from Turramurra Cyclery, competition was fierce in all grades. C grade showed the biggest turn out with Graham Heap leading from the start to take Victory. In the new 16 kilo Bike class there was a great race with Richard "Danger" Napper holding the lead on his single speed P3 jump bike from Brad Kelly on his Giant Intense M3 Downhill bike. B Grade got off to a furious start, but was quickly dominated by Leo Assandri as he sped away to victory. A grade was always going to be hot with a cash prize on for line honours. With a fast start Garry Milburn (Cannondale Maxis) shot off the front, but was eventually passed by Nick Both (Scott bikes Flightcentre) who extended his lead and held it for victory. Dave Coward rode strongly for third place. Look forward to seeing you all there next week.
