Today's racing saw a large and fast bunch in A Grade doing some demolition work on their pack. Jim and Baden Burke threatened a father and son podium finish but spent all their cookies chasing down every break. A close sprint finish decided the top two with Danny Clark well clear of the rest of the field to take third place.

In a day of close finishes the club's video camera got a good workout all morning. In B Grade barely a cigarette paper separated first and second, while Melbourne visitor Blain Crellin just edged out Werner Rogosenski in C. Janine Parkin showed her talent to finish second in D Grade, just centimetres ahead of Vince Nucifora both of whom were beaten home by the consistent Eric Hall.

In E Grade, the young stars of the future completed 20 minutes with Louis Evangelista riding away into first and Matthew Willmot and Lachlan Devanny battling it out in another close finish for the minor placings. It is fantastic to watch these young kids come along and put 120 per cent effort into their 20 minutes and come home with a smile on their faces.

Next week's racing will again be at Burleigh. No prize money will be paid. All prize money will be donated to the Darren Smith Ride which helps fund the Darren Smith Race Committee.
