Threatening skys on Friday night frightened off quite a few riders, but those that braved the elements were treated to a great night of racing.

The program was set over club championship distances,an indivual 500M time trial, a Derby and scratch races. Michael Wroe was the star rider in the A & B division winning the three events, although Peter Ransome and Trent Pitt gave Wroe some hot competition over the final 200 metres.

The Wroe brothers dominated the veteran events, Paul winning the 500M time trial and the derby and George the scratch race. Lachy Cosgrove made a clean sweep of the Junior events; competition was keen with the placegetters Quinton Miller, Bryanna Langford, Chrissey Cosgrove and Robert Saunders all looking ready for the Club Championships on the 14th March.

Two human powered vehicles from Maryborough High had their first workout on the track in preparation for the 24 hour technology challenge in September. We look forward to St Marys High joining the Friday night traning sessions.

Racing next Friday 7.00pm; A.G.M. 7.00pm March 6 at Maryborough Cycle Hall.
