The team of Stephen Alfred of Trinidad, Australia's Geoff Stoker and David LeGrys from Saffron Walden, Great Britain scorched round the boards to establish a World Masters Best time of 47;798sec to beat the British trio of Ian George, Davis Robson and Graham Wilman riding as Yasumitsu Schlapp Dashe. Bronze went to the team of Canada's Keith Bruneau and the American pair of Tim Goodwin and Don Langley who named their team Bad Company. Their time of 48;870 was 1;106sec ahead of Le USA squad made up of France's Achen Aggar and Kirk Whiteman and Stephen Prokopiw both of the USA. Gregg's Specialized Retains Men's 135+ Team Sprint TitleGregg's Specialized made a successful defence of their Team Sprint title in the open age category on the final day of the 8th World Masters Track Championships which have been held at the Manchester Velodrome. The trio of Keith Todd, Alphonso Whaley, and Stanley Gregg all from the USA, out paced the British team calling themselves The Gee Bees as they covered the three laps in 49;676sec. 0;566sec ahead. The British riders were Geoffrey Cooke from Long Eaton, Londoner Robert Jefferies and Ian Hallam of Waterlooville in Hamsphire. In the ride off for the bronze were the team of No Name Required and made up of Grant Seals of the USA and the British pair of Steve Cronshaw from Eccleshall in Staffordshire and Steve Pulford of Newark.
