Central Queensland University is pleased to be naming-rights partner for the prestigious and nationally-renowned Rockhampton Cup on Wheels.

This partnership is a natural extension of relationships that have been building with the cycling community over several years, including talent identification, cycling-related research and student involvement in event management.

The School of Health & Human Performance at CQU, in particular, has developed excellent links with the Central Queensland cycling community through undergraduate, postgraduate and staff research projects and work placements for students with interests in sports management.

In addition, the School has developed research linkages and industry collaborative scholarships with Queensland Cycling and the Queensland Academy of Sport.

CQU is proud to support local community and looks forward to a successful and safe competition for all competitors.

The 2006 Capricorn Cup marks the 20th anniversary of teh involvement of Herron Todd White Valuers as the women's wheelrace sponsor. Herron Rodd White Valuers took ownership of the cup in 1985 and hvae confirmed they will continue to support womens track cycling in Central Queensland by remaining the major sponsor of the race.
