In perfect conditions, the St. Lukes Health Veterans Club held the first race in the Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees Christmas Series over a distance of 30 kilometres. With almost perfect handicapping, only 25 second separated the majority of the field of 40 starters. Race 2 is on December 7 at the same location, starting 10am.
