Gary Parkin and Jamie Siep looked set to lap the field and claim the Burleigh Challenge Prize, but a strong wind and a determined chase pack held them off. The final stage of the Velo Tour was held at Harrisville today. CATS Member, Kane Oakley went into the final stage as tour leader, and with the support of his team-mates Dean Heathcote, Riki Lanyon, Greg Pooley and Dean McMahon, Oakley consolidated his lead with a top 5 finish. Kane's Tour win gives him a start in the Sun Tour later this year. Under 19 CATS rider, Brad Payne finished the Tour as Under 19 winner. Don't forget that start time is 7:00 a.m. for B, D & E Grade at the 'Burleigh Worlds' and 7:30 for A & C Grades.
