Description

Having closed the chapter of Los Pirineos, now those riders who are still dreaming with the sprint will have time to enjoy themselves. This is one of the two stages that exceed the 200 kilometres in this Vuelta 2001. The last races show us that the attempts to break away are really common in cases like that and those who fight for the victory of their team will have to watch the given advantages. Last year the riders reached Port Aventura from the South, this time it will be from the North with an important slope down. The wind and the gear ratio changings will have to be taken into account.
