Stage 2 - March 3: Cooma - Jindabyne, 61.1 km

Start time: 12.00 pm
Finish time: 1:34 pm

This is a stage where action will be on from the early start of the race. An instant climb out of Cooma will set the tempo of the race with the cyclists relishing the undulating plains through to Berridale, just past the halfway mark, where the first road sprint will be in earnest.

Barneys Ridge, a category 2 mountain sprint just 20 kilometres from the finish could split the field or perhaps the run into Jindabyne. The final descent across the Jindabyne Dam is followed by a small climb, before the fast descent into Jindabyne past the famous Banjo Patterson Hotel.

Last year's winner of the Jindabyne road stage was Mirjam Melchers, a wonderful competitor, while other stage winners include Liz Tadich.
