Stage 3 - March 4: Jindabyne - Thredbo, 35.9 km

The wonderful setting of Lake Jindabyne and spectacular views makes the start of this stage so pleasant - but the terrain is much tougher and despite the short distance, the cyclists will know that they have been racing hard all day.

Anna (Wilson) Millward was the big stage winner last year finishing ahead of Geneveive Jeanson, the Canadian winner, while Tracey Gaudry finished third, a stage that Tracey won the year before on her way to overall victory in the race.

The riders climb from the very outset from 800 metres and eventually finish at Thredbo at around 1280 metres. Ivo's Farm is the half-way Mountain Sprint and is a category two climb.
