Stage 4 - March 4: Thredbo Circuit Race, 35.2 km

The circuit race is a beauty with the cyclists start from Friday Flat and beside the creek and travel through the wonderful atmosphere of the village, climbing the steep Banjo Drive before descending along the Alpine Way, and then back along the flat Friday Drive for over two kilometres.

It is a tough race and last year, Anna Wilson made it a daily double when she caught Juanita Feldhahn in the final 400 metres after a long solo breakaway and then out-sprinted Karen Kurreck. It was a truly great victory and Feldhahn had some consolation with third place.

The race circuit could hardly be improved and the eight laps is just long enough for a full commitment from the competitors.
