Stage 2 - January 17: Norwood - Murray Bridge, 142 km
Preview
The first open road stage commences in the Adelaide suburb of Norwood, but winds its way out of the city through the Adelaide Hills to the east. The two climbs (Kangaroo Creek and Checker Hill) are tough, but a long way from the finish in Murray Bridge, and there should be some regrouping of the peloton. It is even possible that the stronger teams such as Mapei or Telekom will try to control the race for a bunch sprint, but some riders will no doubt have other ideas.
