Gunn-Rita Dahle had a storming season, only faltering because of a mechanical at the world championships. On the way to the world's, though, she won four World Cup rounds and the European championships, dominating women's mountain bike racing to an almost unprecedented degree. It's no surprise that you voted her the year's best female mountain bike racer.
Runners-up Alison Dunlap and Jimena Florit reflect the continued importance of the North American scene in women's mountain bike racing.
