There was no love lost in St Valentines day's cycling competition at Tinana on Friday night. Fast times and close finishes in the 12 event program, with only three hundredths of a second seperating the veteran Italian pursuit teams; the winning combination was Nev Ransome, Lloyd Cosgrove and Kev James in a time of 1.42.68.

Ex Irish champ, 75 year old Jim Ewart, still has what it takes, winning the 12 lap Vet scratch race from George Wroe, Jordanna Wellings and Paul Wroe. David Keevers opened up what looked like a winning break with five laps to go in the 15 lap scratch race but was overtaken in the last lap by Hayden Josefski and Peter Ransome in the scorching fast 200m time of 12.52.

Club meeting 20th Feb at the cycle hall at 7:00pm. Racing next Friday 7:00pm. Two human powered vehicles will feature in Friday's program as part of their preparation for the annual 24 hour marathon in September.
