Pascoe recorded a good win, with 46 points from the 16 sprints. Second place went down to the wire, with a race long battle between World and Olympic Team Pursuit Champion Stephen Wooldridge and NSWIS/St George rider Stephen Fitzpatrick which finally saw Wooldridge take second with 28 points and Fitzpatrick third on 26 Points. In a quick race that saw just nine finishers from the 17 starters, Phil Stokes (Penrith Panthers) was fourth on 23 points. The U19 Men Points race was also run at at a very lively pace, with nine finishers from the 16 starters - NSWIS/Eurobodalla rider Mitchell Pearson winning narrowly on 18 points from NSWIS/Southern Cross rider Tyler McLachlan (17 points) with Penrith Panthers' J L Rathbone third on 15 points. In the carnival that followed the Championships the highlight was the final of the Bowral Cup that saw St George rider Warren Scott (20 metres) win from Scratchman Chris Pascoe, after the back markers made contact with middle markers group just before the bell.
