Pro 1-2As expected, this is one of the tightest competitions going. Marcus Black (Cody Racing) held the lead for most of the month but when the sprinting got hot, 2001 Rider of the Year, Che Frey (Hammer Racing) was able to edge him out for the lead. A ways back, in third is the 2002 Masters A Rider of the Year Mark Guerin. Steve Prokopiw (Hammer Racing) and Mike Creed (Prime Alliance) got a late start but are moving up through the standings pretty quickly. In the Sprint Competition , Che Frey continues to distance himself from the field of talented riders with double the second place points of Mark Guerin. Marcus Black is in firm command of the Endurance Omnium as he continues to lap the field in the points races. Mike Creed (Prime Alliance) and Dave McIntosh (Eastside Wheelmen) are battling it out for second in this race. Missy has managed to earn double the points of her nearest challenger Renee Eastman (Vitamin Cottage/Morgul Bismark). Making a fast run at the top, Joanne Kiesanowski (DietRite) is definitely on the move. Known as a track sprinter, it is not surprising Missy leads the Sprint Competition over Kerry Soraci (DietRite) and Jenner Yaeso (PedalHome. com/Rogue Wave). The surprise comes in the Endurance category where she lead Renee Eastman. All these road mile she is doing with her T-Mobile Teammates must be paying off! Amy Z has moved on to winning State Championships, Jenner is battling it out in the Masters B category. Jenner still leads this category with Amy in second. The Eastside Wheelmen Women's Team is racing hard to change that. Meggan "I got a new bike" Flaherty (Eastside Wheelmen) has her first win under her belt and likes the taste of victory.
