The Bundaberg club commenced its road racing season today. The races were held on the undulating Foley's road course and had a good number of riders in attendance. The distances were kept short for the start of the season.

Two races where held. A,B and C riders contested a 27km handicap. Youngster Danny Vagg, riding from an out mark held on to win followed by our lady cyclist Peta Sandford with a near dead heat for third between Phil Dunn, Bill Heilscher & David Sandford . Phil got the nod for third place and fastest time

In the C grade 20 km handicap Ron Kramer, a newcomer, got right under the handicapper's guard. He finished alone for both first and fastest .Second was Lui Stocco ahead of a fast-finishing Ray Myer followed closely by Tom McLucus, Peter Barnes, Ken Bunt, Stacey Kramer and Kevin Morris
