Racing on Saturday, May 11, 2002, reverted back to our Foleys road course with a good number of race contestants in each division.In A grade in the 50km event it was once again the in form Phil Dunn who won the bunch sprint to record not only first place but the fastest time. In second place was Arthur Puie having his first club start of the season third was Bill Hielscher.

In the 32km B and C grade combined handicap we had a other sprint finish. In this event the winner was Peter Klein who defeated Peter Blyth in a close tussle to the finish line , they were followed home by Peta Sandford who in an excellent ride recorded the fastest time.

the B-C grade event saw the return of the "old fox " Ray Meyer who's been away for races at Mackay.

D grade 20km handicap

In this event youngster Stacey Kramer had an all the way win over Peter Barnes who gain second place and recorded the fastest time in a closely contested sprint against Kevin Morris who took third place.

E grade 6km

Once again Ashley Vagg shone in this event with a victory over Katrina Macdonald.
