Lieswyn takes lead as he and Roulston escape

A dramatic 113km stage from Invercargill this morning turned the GC placings upside down in the PowerNet Tour of Southland.
European-based professional Hayden Roulston (Zookeepers) won the stage, just beating 2002 tour winner John Lieswyn but the American took over the yellow jersey from his Southland Times teammate and good friend Glen Mitchell.
Roulston and Lieswyn rode away from a bunch of twelve with twenty kilometres to ride to the finish and at the line were well clear of the bunch and two minutes ahead of the main peloton and Mitchell.
"It's just the way it happened. I'm here for Glen (Mitchell) and it's not over yet," Lieswyn said.
Roulston moved up into second place on GC @ 1m 09 secs.
