89th Tour de France - Grand TourFrance, July 6-28, 2002Live coverage Results Next stage Stage 1 - Sunday July 7: Luxembourg - Luxembourg, 192.5 kmBy Tim Maloney, European editor Luxembourg is situated at the southern end of the Ardennes hills, so the geography of the Grand Duchy is predominantly hilly. Starting at 12:20pm, and with four sprints including the final, four KOM's and not many flat stretches at all during Stage 1, the sprinters teams won't be able to control the race, so rather than a mass sprint, with the Cote de Hostert KOM with 10 km to go and then an uphill finish back to the Place du Glacis in Luxembourg City, there could be some early changes already on the Classement General after Stage 1.
