Broadford-Seymour Cycling Club

Seymour, VIC, September 23, 2006

Fifteen riders competed in Broadford-Seymour Cycling Club's 45km handicap race on the Mangalore-Service Road-Avenel course. Limit riders Ashley Smith and Murray Thomson had a 20minute start on the scratch group of Ron Burgess, Shayne Kirby, Alan Adams, Brett Loney and Silas Fisher which led the race from start to finish. Smith narrowly out-sprinted Thompson in windy conditions to take line honors.

Ian Baker sprinted clear of the second group of riders 200m out from the finish line and held off the challenge from fellow riders to finish third. Brett Loney was fourth, and fastest rider with a time of one hour and six minutes, with Alan Adams taking fifth.
