Saturday's team time trial was conducted on the Mangalore-Airport Road-Avenel course, a race distance of 40km, with the weather was warm and raining. 18 riders in three teams of six competed, with team captains being Ron Burgess, Kevin Simmons and Glen Christensen.
After completing the 40km course, only 35 seconds separated the three teams. Kevin Simmons, Warren Osborne, Brett Bender, Silas Fisher, Wayne Flint and Bob Ward recorded 1:03:20 for the trip to win the event. The event concluded a great winter racing programme.
The summer programme now commences with twilight racing on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Anyone interested in racing with the Club can contact Glen Christensen at Seymour Cycles for further information. After twilight racing on Tuesday 1/11, Saturday's event will be a handicap race from Burgess Signs at 2pm.
