Beaconsfield 50

In very cold and windy conditions, 34 riders contested the Beaconsfield 50. The race conducted by the St. Lukes Health Vets club and sponsored by Garwoods Bakery was on a tough circuit with a steep hill to be climbed three times. The race was almost handicap perfect with most bunches coming together inside the last kilometre. Launceston photographer Shane Goss proved the strongest with a well timed break close to the finish to score a good win. Peter Oliver continued his recent good form to take out fastest time.
