He led a Blizzard sweep of the four top places while also setting a new course record of 23:05 minutes for the Bear Mountain 12 km time trial. Pat Ferris was second at 28:02, Les Elliot third at 28:22 and Rod Lewis 4th 5 seconds later. Dawson Creeks Kolton Chapman was 5th at 28:44. Nineteen riders rode the tough 12 km course, featuring short, very steep uphills and fast downhills and corners on a very hot afternoon. Robin Baillie, Pat Ferris and Jamie Kroschel had the added hazard of having to go around a cow moose and calf on the course! Overall the Blizzards won the event with 65 points to Dawson Creeks 29 and Grande Prairies 11. The Blizzards are solidly in the series lead with 322 points to Dawson Creeks 156 and defending champion Grande Prairies 150. In sixth place was Stephen Davis (GP) at 28:47, Jamie Kroschel (DC) 30:13, Barb Polehoykie 31:43, Jolea Bilodeau (B) 32:03, Darrien Graw (DC) 32:50, Duane Oltmans (GP) 32:50, Gillian Manson (DC) 33:22, Sara Kolkea (DC) 37:00, Francis Plum(GP) 37:50, Jan Schmidt (DC) 41:31, Calvin Bell (B) 42:15, Liz Squires (DC) 42:56, Cayle Bell (B) 44:37 and Adam Currie (B) 44:54.
