Fifteen riders contested Saturday's 38km handicap conducted at beautiful Strath Creek. Bryan White, returning to riding after a two-year break, led the field off from his limit handicap of 18-minutes. Silas Fisher, Ron Burgess and Shayne Kirby rode from scratch.

Jeff Madex, John Burgess, Glenn Christensen and Daryl O'Keefe riding from seven-minutes were the dominant riders, overtaking the out-markers and reaching the lead 18 kilometres into the race.

This group led the race home with Glenn Christensen out sprinting his co-markers for first placing. Madex was second, John Burgess third and O'Keefe finished fourth. Silas Fisher, sprinted too strongly for his co-markers to finish fifth and record fastest time of 57min 40secs for the 38km.
