Bonser Time Trial Series, Western Australia, Wednesday November 1, 2006
Joe Cox's effort in race four put him in top spot in the Bonser Time Trial Series run by the Peel District Cycling Club. Cox, on 31 points (pts), currently leads the 10 race series after stopping the clock at a respectable 28 minutes 5 seconds for the 16km 'out and back' course.
Phil Diesel on 28pts was outside his best time with a 23min 57sec ride while Darryl Harris, also on 28pts, was uneasy in the breezy conditions recording 25min 28sec. Mark Roberts produced the fastest time of the evening with a slick 23min 16sec ride, however in race three he had posted a time 14 seconds faster than this effort.
Dave Berglund, Richard LeTessier and Phil Edwards handled the conditions well and responded with respectable times in their first outings.
The Bonser Time Trial Series continues on Wednesday, November 8, with race five commencing at 1730 hours at Hopelands Rd. The club will commence its Summer Criterium series on November 12 at Biscayne Way, Jandakot.
