19 riders contested Saturday’s 45km handicap event on the Mangalore Service Road course.

The four riders from the 12 minute group dominated the race and contested the finish with 2 minutes to spare from the combined chasing groups.

Daryl O’Keefe crossed the line in first place from Wayne Flint, second, with co-markers, Rob Ekberg and John Burgess, third and fourth.

The sprint for the remaining places was won by in fine style by Brett Bender form second scratch rider, Brett Loney. Shayne Kirby, Ian Baker, Jeff Hibberd and Warren Osborne were also prominent in this sprint.

Silas Fisher recorded fastest time of 1 hour 7 minutes.Fisher rode from scratch with co-markers Alan Adams,Ron Burgess and Kevin Simmons.
