The super-duo of Josh Steele and Lee Stevens hit top gear in their chase to catch the pairing of Amanda Steele and Mick Grey midway through the 2nd lap, with this bunch working well together and sharing turns evenly. Peter Weston rode from limit, passing Gordon Lawton and Angelo Ylia in a grand solo effort that saw other competitors unable to chase him down before the finish line, and securing him his first win of the season. Stevens and Josh Steele fought it out for second place, with Stevens' superb sprinting ability seeing him claim second place along with fastest time honours, posting a respectable 36km/hr average speed despite the adverse conditions. The next road race will be held at Cooltong starting along the Wentworth road
