Results and Reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews Northern Veterans Cycling ClubExeter, Tasmania, May 29, 2005Scratchmen dominate in the hillsOn Sunday the Calvary Health Northern Vets held a 40km handicap race at Exeter. The race was held on the very tough Flowery Gully course and proved a very successful day for the four scratchmen who took out four of the first five placings. With a handicap limit of 15 minutes the 32 riders in the field did not come together until inside the last 5km. With 2km to go John Gregory put in a big effort to break away and hang on to the finish to win by 50m from Peter Westbrook, who spoilt the scratchmen's clean sweep. Next week (Sunday June 5th) racing will be at Longford for a Teams Time Trial, with teams of 5 and a rider from each grade in every team. Duty members are Roger Butorac and Andrew Flanagan.
