Northern Veterans Cycling Club

Longford Cressy, Tasmania, March 19-20, 2005

The Northern Veterans Cycling Club held their Annual Two Day Tour over the weekend. The Tour, which attracted riders from all parts of the state, was sponsored by the club's major sponsor, Calvary Health Care.

Held in the Longford Cressy area, the race consisted of four stages for five seperate grades, all of which were very keenly contested - there were very tight finishes in all races, with standout rides put in by Ian Leighton, Doug Watts and John Watson in their respective grades.

On Sunday April 3 the club will be holding their next race at St Helens, the 60km event sponsored by St Helens businesses The Bayside Inn, Doherty's Resort, Targetts Pharmacy and the Break O'Day Council, and will start at 11am.
