With just 6km to race, all teams were together. The scratch team of Ron Burgess, Alan Adams, Jeff Hibberd, Shane Edwards and Glenn Christensen were in control from this point, and spread the field with an attack 2km from the finish at the Burgess signs in Emily Street. Alan Adams scored a great win just narrowly holding out 'super vet' and team-mate, Jeff Hibberd, from Ron Burgess and Shane Edwards, giving the scratch team the top four placings for the second consecutive week. This team recorded 1 hour and 12 minutes for the 50km. Brett Bender (5th), Brett Loney (6th), Christensen, Bartlett, Osborne and Patrick Tubbs completed the top ten. On Sunday, Silas Fisher finished 11th in the u/17 Country Championship at Wangaratta, in a very competitive and experienced field of 40 riders. Racing next week is from Burgess Signs at 2pm.
