Results and Reports from AustraliaPromoters wishing to submit results should send them to Cyclingnews CATS CCBurleigh, QLD, January 11, 2004By Ros Burke The hot Christmas weather abated today and rain threatened to ruin the race. However, after a delayed start, all grades were able to finish before the rain bucketed down. In A Grade, young talent David Kemp led several breaks including the final break to stay away to come home 200 metres clear of the field. B Grade was blown apart by the continuous attacks of Candice Sullivan, Sally Cowman and Lorian Graham with the latter two finishing in the places but unable to outsmart the older and more experienced Graham Harvey. C Grade saw newcomer Matt Daley break away with World Champion Werner Rogosenski who was beaten in the sprint by the teenager. While in D Grade many of the former E Grade Juniors promoted themselves and showed their skill by controlling the race and outsprinting the field. The youngsters in E Grade were kept honest by 11 year old Jack Carter who lapped the field.
