Patrick Jones tailed Crawford for the length of the straight but couldn't overhaul him. On the line, Crawford was beaten by in-form rider Jersy Sowa. Fourth place went to Michael Cowan. All four placegetters were Randwick Botany Cycling Club members. Keegan Aitchison (Southern Cross) had a strong ride in the 32km B-Grade event, winning in a time of 51min 25sec.
