Wall and Rourke strongest in race of truth

In breezy conditions Josh Wall, clocking 27:07, and Adam Rourke with 27:12, showed their strength against the clock to take the honours in Saturday's 18.5km Illawarra Cycle Club Time Trial event.

A healthy starting list of thirty-six riders took to the line and ten of those managed to break the thirty-minute barrier. This highlights exactly how tough the conditions were eight weeks ago in the Club Championships Time Trial, when only two riders broke thirty minutes.

Other notable performances by riders who always seem to lift in time trials were 5th place for Dave Russell in 29:15, Daniel Daly 9th in 29:35 and Lou Caruana 12th in 30:20.

Next week's race is a 45km handicap and all entries must be given to Lionel before Thursday.
