Dale has no problem with wind

Luke Dale convincingly won last Saturday's 18.5 kilometer time trial in extremely difficult winds by posting a time of 27 minutes 43 seconds. Steve Franklin (29:41) and Dylan Forbes (30:15) rounded out the top three times.

With Sunday morning's gusting southwest winds, riders faced the wind twice on the out-and-back Marshall Mount course. Faster riders' times were about two minutes down while slower riders were up to five minutes down due to the blustery conditions.

Notable rides of the day were Bobby Krstevski (31:50), new member Darren Toms (32:23), Adrian White (32:48) and new junior female rider Belinda Scott (37:40), who had a very difficult introduction to road racing.

Next week's race will be a 27.5k scratch race with group 8 marshalling.
