Twenty-six A-Grade riders battled it out at the weekly Randwick Botany Cycling Club Criterium races at Heffron Park on Saturday 13 December 2003. It came down to a fantastic sprint with Ben Isaksen (Lidcombe Auburn) narrowly edging out the King of Heffron - Anthony Spurgeon (Team Caravello). Simon Price (Eastern Suburbs) was hot on the wheels for a well-deserved third place. Fourth place went to Randwick Botany star U19 rider - Robert Cater.

Brendan Ingram (Randwick Botany) took out the B-Grade event with surgical precision, timing his sprint perfectly to beat fellow club members Crispin Arnell, big Roger Crawford and Andy Matthews.

Andrew Riordan (Gunnedah) won C-Grade easily, with Andy Hall (Randwick Botany) second and Mark Burgess (Waratah Veterans) third.

Two generations of cyclists featured in the placings of D-Grade with U15 rider Tom Patton (Randwick Botany) winning the 20km event in a time of 34min 55sec. Second place went to Carlo Ghisolfi (St George) who represented Italy in the 1956 Olympics. Third place went to Craig Pager (Randwick Botany).

E-Grade placings were Joe Gatt (Waratah Veterans), Dave Birss (Bankstown Sports) and Julia Guinan (Randwick Botany).

Eight juniors riders competed in a time trial and handicap race. Riders included Chris and Leah Guillan (Southern Cross), Nick Hall (Randwick Botany), Thomas Murdoch (Randwick Botany), Tom Patton (Randwick Botany), Matt Guillan (Southern Cross), Sam Buckland (Randwick Botany) and Patrick Jenner (Randwick Botany).
