Course
Description
The race begins at 9:00 and will finish at approximately 11.45. The
riders have to negotiate 20 laps of a 5.1 kilometre parcours for a total
distance of 102 kilometres. The circuit is on the south side of Lake
Burley-Griffin, which separates the main business sector of Canberra
from the Parliamentary area. The undulating circuit passes within 1
kilometre of the National Parliament and winds through the Embassy district
of Canberra. There is a steady climb of 1 kilometre, but this is not
steep.
