Stage 6 - January 21: City of Adelaide Circuit, 90 km
Preview
The final stage is a tour hour parade around Adelaide's city centre, with 20 laps of a picturesque 4.5 kilometre circuit to be covered. Taking in the River Torrens, Adelaide Parklands, War Memorial and the CBD, this is certainly the showcase event and is bound to be fast.
By this stage, the tour winner should be decided but if the race has been particularly tight, then time bonuses will become important. In addition, there are two King of the Mountain primes and two Sprints, which could have a bearing on the overall. Once again, the sprinters such as Steels, Blijlevens, Capelle, Kirsipuu, O'Grady or Sweet will be the favourites for this stage.
