Day 2 of the Health Net 2004 US Cyclo-Cross National Championships dawned bright and early with Juniors racing at 8am, and despite the early wake up call, the racing was heated from the gun with a wire to wire battle between Colorado riders Daniel Summerhill and Alex Coelho for the 15-16 year crown. In the end it was Coelho taking the stars and stripes jersey with a well timed jump coming by the pit for the final time with 2 corners to go.

Benjamin Swedberg rode away from his opponents to take home the national championship in the Junior Men's 13-14 competition, while J.D. Fette put forth the winning effort in the Junior Men's 10-12 race.
